PONTE DI ROSA

Delighted with our new 2yo running 6th first time out in a very hot maiden at Newbury. We are very hopeful that the 6 lengths she lost by can be reversed on her next run and I am sure you wil see a much sharper filly

A great winning week

A Fantastic week for the stud as YEMENI PRINCESS, gets her head in front at Warwick. Well ridden by Russ Kennemore she quickened up in the final furlong to win going away. The plan was to go hurdling with her but that has been put on hold as she has a very good pedigree and we may stick to the flat with her now.

FLEETING ECHO was another winner for the stud, having been bred and reared here this tenacious filly won at Goodwood. I think listed races may be on the agenda for this daughter of Beat Hollow. He dam has just been scanned in foal to Elnadim and has a yearling by Alhaarth.

Yemeni Princess, shown here was supposed to run yesterday at Nottingham, but due to the rain was withdrawn. It was a real shame as it turned out the winner has finished behind us on 2 occasions now and she is in great form..

Good run at Newbury

We were very pleased with Yemeni Princess's run at Newbury only beaten 2 lengths running on. She had to be switched in the last furlong which cost her a few lengths.
All the foals  have been micro chipped on Tuesday with only minor injuries to us!!.
Methodical had her 30 day scan on which we could see a heart beat so she is well and truly in foal

Methodical to Norse Dancer.

All our foals are doing well and enjoying the milder climate will take some more pictures this week.

Yemeni Princess is due to run next saturday at newbury, so we are all looking forward to that. If you are planning to go let me know so we can meet for a drink, I drink Guiness!!!

Orphina and her new foal enjoy the sunshine. All the foals are doing very well and hopefully we can have a nice summer to help them along. We were very please with the run of Yemeni Princess last Monday. She just got caught but was giving the winner a stone in weight. We may either go to bath next Monday or Newbury the following Saturday. Our 2yo Ponte di Rosa is back cantering and we are looking forward to her running soon. We are trying to set up a new syndicate with George Foster who trains in Scotland. george used to train En Vacances so it would be nice if he trained one of the offspring.

Pictures of Plasma transfusion

New Foals transfusion

Our recent birth has had to have a plasma transfusion today. All seems to have gone to plan, just a bit stressful for everyone. The mare was running milk for 2 days before she gave birth, so the foal did not get enough antibodies from her.

MORE TO FOLLOW

Squire Trewlawny home after cutting his leg, just before he was about to have his first run. Still waiting on our last mare to foal. Lisathedaddy stood on her foal cutting his leg open which has needed careful stitching by our vet. He was allowed out for the first time yesterday after 3 weeks and went beserk. Looks like the foals will be in over the weekend as bad weather approaches. Our foal which had jaundice will have his blood test on Wednesday to see if he can go out with the other foals, we wait with anticipation.

Al Sirat did not run great on Sunday but we are sure will make amends next time as we have excuses (Plenty).

Yemeni Princess runs on Monday at Chepstow and we are looking for  BIG run from her.

Busy week

Been a very busy week , the sick foal is making rapid headway and will have a blood test next week. Methodical has gone back to visit Norse Dancer as she was scanned not in foal. Toleration is to be covered by Byron tomorrow so a long journey as well as sitting up is on the cards. We are still waiting on our last mare to have her foal. Orphina is already a week late so fingers crossed she has it this week.
Yemeni Princess ran well for a long way in the week and has now qualified for handicaps, we have Al Sirat running today so fingers crossed that he runs a big race.

Will post more pictures this week.

Bye for now!!
